The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the provision and coordination of high quality patient-focused nursing care within the unit through effective leadership, management of staff and other resources, and the development of cooperative professional relationships.
You will:
o Be a registered Nurse, Division 1, possessing a current Victorian practicing certificate
o Hold a relevant tertiary management qualification or working towards same

Sunshine Hospital is one of the busiest birthing centres in Australia and the largest level 2 obstetric hospital in the state. Each year approximately 3,500 women give birth at Sunshine. The service is supported by a Full Time Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, 9 Registrars (2 of which rotate from Royal Women’s' Hospital), 6 Hospital Medical Officers and over 100 midwives. A diploma course is available for GP trainees.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Medical Practitioners interested in pursuing further training as a Registrar in this area of specialty. The position is available from now until the end of the Medical Year - 6th February 2011. Please note: the position is available to medical practitioners who have completed at least 4 years post graduate degree.
